The aQuolley Collection
aQuolley® is a European registered trademark for versatile, portable aquatic sports courts, designed for seamless installation in pools, lakes, and beaches.
Within the collection, aQuolley® Beach designates our open-water offerings, while aQuolley® Pool Beach caters to pool-based installations. We proudly feature three distinct products within the Beach category and two within the Pool Beach range. The audio recording below offers a concise summary of this page in English.

Site Consideration
Following confirmation of minimum safety requirements (detailed elsewhere), these general site factors should be considered for aQuolley court deployment. While installation is strongly inadvisable at unsafe locations (final decision and responsibility rest with the site owner), suitable playing locations are often adaptable.
Deployment Environments
- Open Water: Courts are designed for shallow, sandy or fine gravel beaches bordering lakes, rivers, and seas. Universal designs are not feasible, but many suitable locations can be accommodated.
- Pools: Specialized anchoring allows open water courts in pools. These installations present unique considerations requiring tailored solutions based on site conditions and client needs.
Site Evaluation
Unsuitable
- Fails minimum safety criteria
Requires Careful Consideration
- Subsoil: Not sand/gravel (assessment needed).
- Water Activity: High (intermittent play).
- Tides: Significant (limited play, increased handling, cost analysis).
- Debris Flow: Substantial (nightly removal, labor costs).

Key Features
Adjustable Setup: Experience seamless adjustment to accommodate diverse player numbers and skill levels. Court reconfiguration, involving module adjustments (lines and/or nets), preserves structural integrity and is player-friendly, requiring a mere 2-8 minutes depending on proficiency and team size.
Easy Access and Egress: Simplify court entry and exit by lifting designated boundary lines, eliminating the need for underwater submersion or navigating cumbersome, rigid lines.
Durable Design: Benefit from a lightweight construction that effectively withstands changing weather patterns and moderate water movement. In the event of severe storms or waves exceeding one meter, a simple protocol—line module removal and net module storm positioning—takes only 5 minutes.
Quick Setup/Move: Enjoy simplified court assembly, disassembly, and relocation, requiring no specialized expertise or equipment; tasks can be completed within 45-120 minutes, depending on team size. The most impact-sensitive line module can be installed or uninstalled in just 2-5 minutes.
Easy Maintenance: aQuolley® Beach courts are crafted with durable, straightforward, yet lightweight modules, ensuring swift and effortless repair or replacement of any missing or damaged components.
Pool Customization: Net support posts and mounting base mobility are meticulously tailored to meet specific site conditions and client requirements, ensuring optimal integration.
Technical Considerations
Open Water
Inappropriate subsoil
Non-ideal subsoil (not sand or fine gravel) requires a more thorough assessment.
High water movement
Considerable water movement may temporarily limit court usability (“intermittent play”), yet the durable design withstands variable weather and moderate water activity.
Significant tides
Substantial tides may shorten playtime, necessitate more frequent adjustments, and potentially increase costs (“limited play, increased handling, cost analysis”).
Relevant sediment
Considerable sediment accumulation may necessitate daily removal, increasing labor costs (“nightly removal, labor costs”).
Site selection
The landowner is responsible for selecting an appropriate site; installation in hazardous locations is discouraged. Compliance with minimum safety standards is crucial.
Extreme weather conditions
During severe storms or waves exceeding one meter; a simple procedure should be implemented, involving the removal of line modules and positioning or removal of the net module for storm protection.
Pools
Pool Net Support Challenges
Attaching net supports in swimming pools is uniquely challenging due to the environment and the need for adaptable usability of the pool area.
Shared Space Limitations
The limited deck or surrounding area in many swimming pool facilities often serves multiple purposes, including swim lessons, recreational activities, and general circulation. Installing permanent or bulky net support systems can significantly impede these other uses. Therefore, solutions for attaching net supports must be easily adaptable, minimizing obstruction and allowing for quick setup and removal to accommodate the diverse activities that share the pool environment.
Adhesive Anchoring Challenges
Direct anchoring is prohibited to avoid drilling, and standard adhesives fail in wet conditions. Our specialized underwater adhesives are an option, but their effectiveness depends heavily on the pool’s foundation. Even with strong adhesion to surfaces like tiles or liners, support post forces can cause detachment if installation was poor. Thus, adhesive solutions are viable, but their success is limited by pool construction and the nature of underwater adhesion.
External/Aerial Support Challenges
External or aerial supports, while preferred over adhesives, present challenges. They are difficult to implement for large nets, consume valuable space around the pool, and aerial rope networks can be visually unappealing. Practicality is further limited by local factors and aesthetic considerations.
